Bio

Caleb Keolanui is a celebrated Hawaiian reggae artist best known as the lead vocalist of The Green, a band that has helped redefine contemporary island reggae. Born and raised in Hawaii, Caleb grew up surrounded by music, with deep family ties to the local music scene. His uncle, Danny Kennedy, was a member of the renowned Mana‘o Company, and Caleb himself started performing at a young age.

Before forming The Green, Caleb was apart of the band Next G, honing their sound and musical chemistry. In 2009, he co-founded The Green alongside fellow musicians Zion Thompson, Ikaika Antone, JP Kennedy, and Brad Watanabe. The band's self-titled debut album, released in 2010, quickly gained recognition, earning iTunes’ Reggae Album of the Year and winning Best Reggae Album at Hawaii’s prestigious Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

Under Caleb’s leadership, The Green has consistently topped the Billboard Reggae Charts with albums like Ways & Means (2011), Hawai‘i 13 (2013), Marching Orders (2017), and Brand New Eyes (2021). Their signature sound—an infectious blend of roots reggae, Hawaiian melodies, and contemporary influences—has captivated audiences worldwide. Songs like “Love I,” “All I Need,” and “Wake Up” have become anthems of love, unity, and island vibes.

In 2024 Caleb co-founded Ka Ma'o, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Hawaii’s next generation of music industry professionals. Ka Ma'o offers programs and resources that inspire creativity, nurture talent, and cultivate future musicians, technicians, and industry leaders, all rooted in Hawaii’s rich cultural legacy.

Caleb is now expanding his artistry with his first solo project under his own business, Keolanui Creative. Dedicated to innovation and authenticity, this venture marks a new chapter in his career, allowing him to explore fresh creative avenues while staying true to his island roots.
Beyond music, Caleb is a devoted family man, sharing moments from his personal life with fans through social media. Whether on stage or at home, his charisma and passion continue to inspire fans globally. Caleb Keolanui remains a driving force in reggae, carrying the rich musical traditions of Hawaii into the future.
